What is the purpose of the “rosettes” on some of the ribbons (I’ve seen them before, but my “google-fu” failed me when I tried to find more information)? 4STARCHRIS Posted April 27, 2017 Share #12 Posted April 27, 2017 The rosettes do represent varying degrees of foreign decorations and orders. Grand Croos/ 1st class id usually gold wings. Grand Officer/2d class one gold one silver wing. Commander/3d class silver wings. Officer/4th class rosette no wings. The uniform use to be on display in the Carislie barricks in PA.
