summer65 Posted April 25, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 25, 2017 I found this 9th AAF patch at a coin shop. It appears to be made of a very thin cloth almost twill or a blue jean material. Reverse has an adhesive type glue. Looks like it would be an iron on patch. If it's a good patch, would they put it on a flight jacket? Not too familiar with patches. I'm a DI collector. Bill Scott Posted April 26, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 26, 2017 It is just a variation of a standard 8th or 9th Airforce patch made in England and made on a thin Oilskin type material.People call them raincoat patches but I have had them sewn to everything shirts Ike jackets and tunics.Scotty

Teamski Posted April 26, 2017 Share #6 Posted April 26, 2017 The glue is scrap book residue. -Ski
