I found these pics recently and I am wondering what they are exactly: original pictures or. reprints?

if they are reprints , are they some sort of morbid "souvenirs"

thanks

Sets of views like this were sold as souvenirs.....relatively common images from the period.

sold where and when then?

If you went on leave in Paris, or from the local YMCA hut, or wherever people were trying to separate soldiers from their money

There was also a thriving business in these type of images and images of the battlefields in the 1920s.

My Great Grandfather, a native of Alsasce-Lorraine went back to the old country in the 1920s and brought home some similar images from the war
