wartimecollectables.com Posted April 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 22, 2017 Some nice walk ins today! Smith Wesson 22/32 Hand Ejector Target Revolver. Butt dated 1917, serial number 4574. A classic old 'plinker'! Colt .32 hammerless pocket pistol. Serial number 339035 (1920). Not military but I was told some were police issue. Any way to tell? US Army M1911A1 Colt by Ithaca, serial number 2289762 (1945).

Ronald Posted April 23, 2017 Share #6 Posted April 23, 2017 Either it is your picture or that Colt 1903 has been buffed/refinished. Notice the rounded/soft edges. For your question on police guns, they would have been marked. The other way is to invest in a Colt research letter for 75.00.
wartimecollectables.com Posted April 23, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted April 23, 2017 Thanks for info and yes, the 03 has been. Good cheap shooter or display for someone though!
