bryang Posted April 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 22, 2017 I found this at a flea market today. Its white (with stains) and appears to be HBT. The vendor who had it said that he got it from an estate he was cleaning out, and that he also had found a set of cook's whites from the same house. He showed me a photo of it and the tag looks 47. I paid $25 for this top, simply because I found it unusual, and I don't have one. The Soldier's name tag is affixed above the left breast pocket. Also, there are shadows on the sleeves where Corporal stripes had once been affixed. I think I have some WW2 era Corporal stripes about, and may consider having them sewn to this top - any opinions on this? Anyways, I'd appreciate any comments on this top, as its the first time I've seen a white HBT. Thanks - Bryan
patches Posted April 23, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 23, 2017 It has the appearance in cut to the M47 HBT fatigue shirt, either an issue type or a Army-Navy store/PX type. stumped as to the color.

The color was what drew me to this. The vendor said that he had first thought that the top had somehow been severely stained, however discounted this notion as the entire jacket was fairly uniformly colored.
