schmooser Posted May 15, 2017 Author Share #8 Posted May 15, 2017 Congratulations! Don't forget to share pictures when it arrives. Got a M8/M8A1 sheath yet to put it in? Took a long time to get here. no sheath yet. Wasn't sure what I was going to get with just one picture in the listing. The spots are the "required"paint splatter (I seem to find it on too many collectibles.) Imperial maker. the blade has the factory grind with pitting under the last coating. Tip has a very slight bend to it. For my first example, I am happy.

SKIPH Posted May 16, 2017 Share #11 Posted May 16, 2017 Brad-Thanks for showing. Keep in mind these were rebuilt WW2 bayonets, but the are great collectibles. I am always amazed at how good a condition as a whole that they have remained in. Can't recall seeing any broken or beat up ones for sale. schmooser Posted May 16, 2017 Author Share #12 Posted May 16, 2017 I read the info on Gary's(RIP) website about these knives a few months back while researching a theater knife.. There is one posted on eBay, but for big bucks. For me, the hunt and education keeps my mind sharp(er) than sitting in a bar wasting money, or in front of the boob tube. Keeps my wife happy too. iron bender Posted May 16, 2017 Share #13 Posted May 16, 2017 There's an m8 scabbard that would match this blade perfectly in the trader. It's being sold by the forum member with a bunch of gear and patches in one lot. Think it was posted yesterday.... go to Trade forum, post by Bones. 1st page, still has it's original leather thong.
