Paul70 Posted April 17, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 17, 2017 I have a Navy jumper that the vet was awarded the Army DUC with oakleaf for action on Corregidor . Did the navy wear it on the right side like the army or with the ribbons. I would assume since the ribbons are of different size it would have been a single ribbon above the navy wide ribbons? Thanks for any help. Paul
Adam R Posted April 26, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 26, 2017 Here's a pic of one being worn by a USN officer.
zsmith Posted April 26, 2017 Share #3 Posted April 26, 2017 With ribbons it would be worn on the ribbon rack. With medals it would have been worn on right breast.
Dave Posted April 26, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 26, 2017 They were (and still are today) worn with the small frame vs the large frame used by the Army (though exceptions exist, as per Adam's photo...) The small frame is the same one used by the USAF when the unit awards were transferred to their left side from the right.
Paul70 Posted April 28, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted April 28, 2017 Ok. He has 6 ribbons, so I'll put in on top. Thanks
