Meyer Restrike Clutch Back

No, I've not seen Meyer marked clutch-back restrikes... but that doesn't mean they aren't out there. Since there's no difference in the wing design itself when comparing clutch-back and pin-back variations, I would revisit the old thread ram957 generously offered you and take a good look at frame #8. In comparing the backs of the authentic Meyer's badge with the restrike, I see these three distinctive differences:

1. The authentic Meyer's badge has a much smaller "STERLING" mark.

2. The authentic Meyer's hallmark is crisp with distinctive 90 degree edges... the restrike hallmark is dull with rounded edges.

3. The authentic Meyer's pin has a stop-cam limiting the pin from opening more than 45 to 80 degrees. The restrike pin has no cam in the hinge design, allowing the pin to swing open a full 180 degrees.

Since your asking about clutch-backs, instead of pin-backs, you need to pay particular attention to #1 & #2 listed above...
