Need help researching a name on WWII dogtag.

Hello, I just bought this dogtag and would like to know any information on the soldier. Any info would be greatly appreciated! The number on the tag is 46030896.

Can't seem to find anything but his DOB and SSN # on ancestry. Also did a quick check with the ASN on the NARA database and I came up with nothing.. Russell Walter Rietesel DOB is 20 Sept 1917, Date of Death 12 Jan 1999..

 

Got a picture of him in a yearbook also on ancestry.. Lane Technical High School in Chicago, Illinois, Looks like he graduated in 1936..

 

Will see if I can find more
