pawtwo Posted April 14, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 14, 2017 Well, At least I found a factory new pair of 1993 made desert boots on Panama soles in size that I can use. These aren't really easy to find here. They are originally boxed and have DLA100-93-D-4145 contract. I discovered that there is something powdery, yellowish and a little sticky inside on "coolmax" cloth in upper part. Does desert boots were treated with something like this for any reason (sweating etc) or It's just a kind of glue that deteriorated over time? Martinjmpr Posted April 14, 2017 Share #2 Posted April 14, 2017 Soldiers were issued foot powder for sweating, my guess is that it was probably an insole or something else that, as you said, deteriorated over time.
pawtwo Posted April 14, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted April 14, 2017 It seems that it's a rubber from outsole manufacturing proces that is all around here and there.
