Nkumburis Posted April 11, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 11, 2017 Good Evening, I picked up this jacket yesterday from the daughter of T/SGT G. W. Mickey. According to his daughter, T/SGT Mickey enlisted in December of 1941(for obvious reasons) and was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. Then Mickey would be sent to the pacific for the invasion of Okinawa. His daughter didn't know whether or not he saw action but he did bring his rifle back from Okinawa as a souvenir and the only thing he would talk about to her was he was there. I plan on doing more research and the daughter said she has more of his stuff in the attic(unfortunately, all the war souvenirs were taken by her brothers) so hopefully there will be more to this grouping. Enjoy. - Nick K
