teufelhunde.ret Posted October 18, 2008 Share #7 Posted October 18, 2008 New purchases for the Belleauwood museum / collection. Well how did I miss this posting - great find Dennis. Let me guess Dennis, you have found another WW1 aviator tunic that needed these? Do we get as peak? These emblems (AKA the "Ellis variety" in some circles) with "c" clip pinbacks are about as scarce as hens teeth nowadays. Really hard to find and here you have a matched pair - how sweet is that!!!!!!!! For benefit of this thread and those who will come to read this posting in the future, re-posting the matching emblem and the typically found screwback (as seen in EGA reference section) variety of these service collars. Have seen a number of early emblems like your upside down continent - never one this rotated like this - looks like the start of a new EGA thread Thanks for sharing with us Dennis! Brig Posted October 21, 2008 Share #10 Posted October 21, 2008 I don't even dare to dream of coming across any of the beautiful emblems you manage to find. I like to keep myself down to earth, sadly. Magnificent pieces
