denfly Posted April 10, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 10, 2017 Hey there. I've been ask about the significance of the heat stamp /lot letter that follows a number. I didn't have an answer in regards to it and was wondering if someone here knows anything about it and what was the highest letter used. I recently saw one 988F'on a McCord. Most I see is A and B with one D.

denfly Posted August 10, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted August 10, 2019 Thanks. Very interesting article on that. You would have to be a mathematician to actually decipher the lettering and numbers on a heat stamp.
