HistoryNut Posted April 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 9, 2017 I recently purchased this and have done some some internet research. Now I thought I'd ask the experts. I would appreciate any information regarding this grenade. Is it and the fuze WWII era? The top of the spoon is marked Fuze M6A3 RT LOT NO 6423144 and the bottom is marked 236. I photoed those areas...hopefully they are clear. Who is the maker? The body is mark 2 and what appears to be an S in a circle. What is the current value? Again, many thanks! Costa Posted April 9, 2017 Share #7 Posted April 9, 2017 looks good to me. ww2 fuse and spoon, yellow band and S in circle. spoon does look a bit different at the bottom. let others chime in about. you are missing the washer that fits between the fuze and body. Taber10 Posted April 9, 2017 Share #8 Posted April 9, 2017 I'm certainly no expert, but I have handled a few. That spoon looks like a smoke grenade spoon and the end looks sort of like some I've seen that were used to pry up the striker to "re-cock" the fuze. Again, just a thought..... Rifleman Posted April 10, 2017 Share #9 Posted April 10, 2017 The spoon probably went to this series of grenades. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MK3_grenade Also see, http://www.lexpev.nl/images/m6a2fuze1.jpg
