Bodes Posted April 5, 2017 Share #1 Posted April 5, 2017 Forum members, Curious as to whether or not USN Hood brand rubber boots were made during WW2?......I purchased a small pair in goodwill last weekend....They are all black, size seven with Hood and QMC (quartermaster corps?) on the backs....Any information appreciated as usual.....Bodes

Bodes Posted April 5, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted April 5, 2017 I have seen WW2 Hood rubber boots or over shoes, I do not have a pair to prove other wise.... Thanks for the quick response..That same day I stopped at a nearby second hand store...The guy there has quite a bit of military surplus in his shop....He sells the mickey mouse arctic boots and had a few pairs of the Hood brand..One pair was marked USMC on the backs...Unfortunately they were size six and starting to dry rot.....Bodes
doyler Posted April 5, 2017 Share #4 Posted April 5, 2017 THese sound like the Korean War era black mickey mouse boots. QMC is an Army marking.
