Hi. Think this is a good first post to the forum. Got this group of badges and pins some days ago. The grouping is 100% original with full provenance of an american /norwegian that served as tech rep in china during ww2. I will return with name and complete lifestory later. In the meanwhile i'll hope you enjoy the groupingpost-167608-0-21088900-1491309453.jpgpost-167608-0-72008900-1491309472.jpg

Are those 3 different AVG pins? Or just the same one? Would love to see the backs.

There are two large that are the same, but one have a chip in enamel. The small one has a ruby in the mouth. There will be good pictures of the back later.

Allison made engines and I believe it was a division of General Motors. I have a patch with all of that in my home front thread.

I think you are right. I assume FED is Far East Detachment or Department?

I know the Allison engines were used in P-39s Cobras, P-38 lightnings, and P-40 Warhawks. They had issues with it in the P-41 Mustang and replaced them with Rolls Royce engines. So the Tech Rep most likely worked on the 38, 39 or 40...though most likely the Warhawk is that was widely used by the Flying Tigers.

Your collection is seriously museum worthy as a whole.

Incredible items.

Those look like pieces Ron Burkey would love to have in his collection.
