I wanted to see if anyone can provide a time frame

for this Marine Corps photo. My guess pre WWI,

around 1900. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hat dates it to pre 1904 and the rolled collar dates it to pre 1899. I have a tunic with the straight collar dated 1898 so that is the transition for the collar change specifically. Marines could have worn their rolled collar tunics after this change of course, so really the original 1900 guess is a real good one, give a year or two either way. Kevin
