tidballman Posted March 31, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 31, 2017 This little wing came in a group of WWI and WWII home front items. It is made of a heavy dense gray/silver metal, pin back with locking catch, measures 1.25" across. Nice details to front, no markings on the reverse. Does anyone know what this wing was for? vintageproductions Posted March 31, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 31, 2017 It's a CPT (civilian pilot training) related wing.
tidballman Posted March 31, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted March 31, 2017 It's a CPT (civilian pilot training) related wing. Nifty! Thanks I assume a sweetheart piece or lapel pin since the size is so small? I really appreciate your time and response.

LuftStalg1 Posted March 31, 2017 Share #5 Posted March 31, 2017 Yup, civilian pilot instructors lapel insignia. Like the military "collar brass". Those are tough to find. Need two of them though. The wing is much, much easier to find. Find it's mate and you got dinner and a movie paid for! : )
