trenchfoot Posted March 30, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 30, 2017 Just bought this beauty off of eBay and I think it's really unique. It's a very early m1 with a heat stamp of 28C3 and has a first patter hawley liner. It has a very crudely drawn insignia of the Persian gulf command although it isn't correct. The star and the sword are supposed to be in opposite places, however, the patch for the command wasn't official till 1944 so this is probably just a prototype marking. The PGC provided security to the Teheran Conference so this helmet may very well been there. Ether way, it's a beautiful helmet for a great price! trenchfoot Posted April 7, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted April 7, 2017 Okay so I overlooked a huge thing with this helmet. I noticed a stamped G in the bottom of the liner, which means I have a very rare general fiber liner! Can't believe I didn't see that.
