The following is another new addition this week and the veteran is very intriguing as he was a German immigrant that immigrated to the US in 1928 (age approx: 4-5). Having sailed with his mother from Bremen aboard the SS Dresden.

Research indicates that he enlisted in 1943 and served in the ETO from July 1944 to March 1946. His headstone application revealed that he served with the 6825th HQT & HQT Militaria I.S.A. (Intelligence Service Austria) and that his final rank was that of a Tech 4th Grade. From my research I have been able to gleam a little on the 6825th in which, at a minimum, held and interrogated at least one Nazi soldier named Capt Rudolph Till (http://numbers-stations.com/cia/German%20Intelligence%20Service%20)

I can only speculate as to what part this veteran played during his service but I cant help but think that he could have participated in the investigation or maybe acted as a translator.
