All the information that I know is that it is a front seam Schlueter. It is a very good looking helmet and I am excited to display it in my collection. Burning Hazard Posted March 23, 2017 Share #6 Posted March 23, 2017 Very nice Navy helmet, notice it's a Schlueter (S stamped) shell, for some odd reason a good chunk of Navy helmets tend to be Schlueter made. Not sure what the markings mean as they had their own unique meanings based on the ship they were on, hopefully one of our Navy vets here will be able to ID them. Bill47 Posted March 24, 2017 Share #9 Posted March 24, 2017 I agree that it's a nice looking Navy helmet. From what I can see, it will be very difficult to ID the markings. The white numerals are most likely unique to a particular ship or station, and I think the same thing may be true of the black letters and number.
