MMcollector Posted March 22, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 22, 2017 This Specially Meritorious Service Medal was discussed several months ago with blurry photos. I finally had a chance to photograph it for the other memebers who wanted detailed photos. Personally I think it's a genuine Studley example. Very clean and crisp strike in my opinion. LuftStalg1 Posted March 22, 2017 Share #5 Posted March 22, 2017 Yes, the striking is correct but the color is lighter then the ones issued. And the ribbon/broach are different. Those two obvious issues are what make me think it was a reject that ended up with Studly. Still a striking from the original die's though! I recently saw another one on the Canadian Emedal site that was bid up to $300 at the time. It was another good striking with an odd ribbon/suspension. Congrats on picking it up!
