Im assuming WW2? Did the British also have an 82nd airborne, or did they manufacture them?

British made the two with black backs and the one with a white back.

The one with the OD border is US made. Yes WWII.

Yes, the British produced 82nd A.D. insignia during the war.

Both black backs on the left side are English made, both white backs on the right side are U.S. made.

Good selection of 82nd I.D. insignia

I have never seen a US made tab that is all white.

The letters on the all white back tab are thinner than US made.

I believe it is British. IMHO

Dennis,

There are four key factors to look for with English produced insignia

1. Airborne titles were produced separately

2. Insignia were embroidered / woven on a stiff thin black cloth not to be confused with the backing cloth

3. The weave is longer in comparison to U.S. made insignia

4. Materials used to produce the insignia (this is directly related to the U.K. material rations from 1940 - 1946/1947, due to a shortage of raw materials)

If you take closeup picture on the both top insignia, you will see the difference between the English weave (longer) on the left vs U.S. weave (shorter) on the right.
