roadrunner Posted March 21, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2017 Hello Today I received a General Staff trench clip for my collection. It is 4 inches long and 1 inch wide. For more information take a look at page 2 of http://emersoninsignia.net/files/Download/6GSC.pdf In my understanding the large armbands would be replaced by the trench clips because the armbands could be seen from german snipers and identify the wearer as a important target to shot down. The seller didnt know what it was and neither did I...until I posted it here on the site.Very interesting and informative 1st for me to see them being used.
