US Air Force (WAF) Woman's Flight Cap

These two flight caps came out of a local estate sale. One of them is in near mint condition, while the other one was worn a decent amount. The worn one also has N.S. Meyer captains bars. From what pictures I have found these were worn primarily during the 1950's and 1960's by the WAF (Women in the Air Force). My question is are these caps fairly common? I haven't found many references other than period photographs.

Any commentary is greatly appreciated!

First up is the one in near mint condition.

Here are a few period photographs I've found showing the same type of flight cap being worn:

"A USAF Nurse and a Red Cross Nurse tend wounded servicemen en-route to the United States. Notice her blouse is tucked into her trousers, which was typical for flight personnel."
