Stopped by a thrift store the other day and they had about 20 or so of these, I picked up a couple.

I thought 1981 was a pretty early contract date.

Pretty cool, methinks. Were these used with the woodland pattern camouflage?

Hi G-man,<br />Don't get confused by the term "coat". The US Army calls all the uniform tops "coats". This pattern replaced the woodland pattern in desert/arid areas, widely seen very late in Desert Storm. I understand the pattern was worn by some US troops in the '80's training in the Sinai Desert.<br />Thanks for your comments!<br />BKW
