suwanneetrader Posted March 18, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 18, 2017 I found this at yard sale today. Man did not remember where he got it. I have not seen one exactly like it. Is it US military? If so when and approx value? It is too new for me but items so hard to find around here I've started buying all if seems reasonable. There seems to be a black stamped marking on back but I can't read it. Due to snap I did not think it is a work belt. The brass is very dark with age. bheskett Posted March 18, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 18, 2017 The canvas looks like an M-36 pistol belt but I have never seen one with all that brass.

suwanneetrader Posted March 18, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted March 18, 2017 On my example the edges of the buckle are bent over and snap over the white metal wire-like ends on the web belt. But it does look like your USMC example has the wide brass keepers. More comments or examples appreciated. Richard

This buckle can be easily completely removed. Help Richard

m151mp Posted March 20, 2017 Share #9 Posted March 20, 2017 these were also used by MP's stationed in korea.
collector1944 Posted March 26, 2017 Share #10 Posted March 26, 2017 My grandfather was in the Korean war and he brought back one of these. The one he brought back is nearly identical to this, and said he paid an old Korean guy two packs of cigarettes for it! He was not an MP though, so I'm not sure what he used it for.
