M1Thompsonlover Posted March 17, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 17, 2017 I recently purchased this rifle on gunbroker. I was able to research the veteran and he was in fact an officer on the U.S.S. Quincy! I still trying to find out more information. I really like the plaque that placed on the stock. Enjoy the pics.

Blacksmith Posted March 17, 2017 Share #8 Posted March 17, 2017 It's a documented piece of history, so priceless in my book. Looks like a 'last ditch' model too. Congrats on a great add.

sundance Posted March 18, 2017 Share #10 Posted March 18, 2017 Very nice rifle. It took me a long time to find my first Japanese rifle but then I started seeing them more frequently. I always found an excuse to buy them - usually it would be some feature that none of the others had. Luckily they were reasonably priced. The prices are creeping up though. M1Thompsonlover Posted March 18, 2017 Author Share #11 Posted March 18, 2017 Thanks guys! I have one more bring back with capture papers that I will post pictures of soon.
sundance Posted March 18, 2017 Share #12 Posted March 18, 2017 Looking forward to seeing it. Is it a Japanese bring back? I always like seeing capture papers because my Dad signed capture papers while on occupation duty in Japan. I know finding papers he signed would be like finding a needle in a haystack but who knows.
