schmooser Posted March 16, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted March 16, 2017 This last one is in a class by itself. The blade is 9-3/4" long, 2" wide, and 1/4" thick at the guard. The left side is flat with a small bevel at the spine. the right has a double bevel. The spine is a false edge. Plain wood sheath. If anyone has ever seen another like this, let me know if you have any info on it. Weighs 22 ounces.

doyler Posted March 16, 2017 Share #5 Posted March 16, 2017 Your last one looks like it was made from a Japanese sword or similiar weapon. The guard looks like the habaki (Wedge shaped metal collar) used on Japanese swords.
schmooser Posted March 16, 2017 Author Share #6 Posted March 16, 2017 This was in a group of knives I bought at an estate sale. There were kris, Philippine Victory knives, etc from a WW2 solider.
schmooser Posted March 16, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted March 16, 2017 2" wide seems excessive for a janapese sword? (Yeah I know....)
