mikedon Posted March 15, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2017 I was thinking about the good old days when you could get an M1 Garand for bargain prices from the DCM/CMP. I was lucky enough to win an M1C in the 1 of 100 auction in 1995. I was also lucky enough to be picked in some M1D lotteries. I got 2 of the M1D's for $650 each in 1996 and 1997. They all look unused to me but I am not an expert.

Ronny67 Posted March 15, 2017 Share #3 Posted March 15, 2017 You have some great guns there. I like the background too. Most M1C and M1D examples I have encountered are unused. They were a stop-gap wartime idea, and were quickly succeeded by better rifles for a DMR role.

mikedon Posted March 16, 2017 Author Share #7 Posted March 16, 2017 are those Garands or deck railings??? Can't say I have seen that many Garands in a single collection... very nice They are all DCM/CMP Garand's. There are 12 collector grade and the rest service grade, (from back in the day when you could get really nice service grade rifles cheap).
