anton67 Posted March 13, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 13, 2017 I posted this named grouping a while back. BUT - Today I stopped at my local Macy's which is closing and selling stuff cheap. Including manikins. This grouping looks great on the manikin. Take a look. ParanormalTrooper Posted March 13, 2017 Share #7 Posted March 13, 2017 Looks great! Awesome grouping, definitely looks better on the mannequin imo.
anton67 Posted March 13, 2017 Author Share #8 Posted March 13, 2017 Thank you. The funny thing is that they had a pile of body parts and I had to build my own manikin. The torso and hands are male but the legs and arms are female. The uniform would not have fit if I had used all male parts. Got the whole thing for $50. anton67 Posted March 16, 2017 Author Share #11 Posted March 16, 2017 Thanks. I went to the other Macy's near me (about 20 minutes in the other direction) which is also closing. They had manikins for $25 each. They were then marked down to $15. The problem was that they were all female. I know that some people buy female manikins and cut the breasts off because they fit smaller military sizes. These were all plastic and it would have been difficult. I ended up getting a torso (with arms) and stand for $15. The torso is small and the arms are made of cloth with wire so they bend. That will be my next project. Oh and I picked up a $70 crystal wine glass for $15.
