cmt04444 Posted March 11, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2017 Is this original Civil War? It has a darker blade than most, it has US barely etched at one part. If it's good I'm going to buy it.
cmt04444 Posted March 11, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted March 11, 2017 I hope it's good. I've always wanted one, but this one just looks different for some reason. The ad says it's a transitional blade?
cmt04444 Posted March 11, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted March 11, 2017 The seller just disclosed that the wire and grip was redone.
SARGE Posted March 12, 2017 Share #4 Posted March 12, 2017 This sword has some problems. First, it is not a M1840 Artillery sword as that sword has a single D shaped guard. Second, it has a Light Cavalry M1860 style of blade while third, having an earlier Heavy Cavalry M1840 style tapered grip. Wait for finding what you want before spending your money on a composite sword would be my advice.
