Civil War Sword

Recommended Posts

Sheble & Fish is a good maker but everyone looks for Ames. Looks like M-1860 Cav. sword, sabbard will cost $100-$150 too bad wire is loose. Just saw a bunch last weekend in better shape for $450=$550 each. Look for dates 1864 or before.

Unless a sword is rare or cheap (this one is neither), I never buy if no scabbard. Agree with the above - hold off and buy a better example with scabbard. There is no reason to buy this one.

I wish I could find an affordable nicer one, they all seem to go well over 600 on eBay and I don't see them elsewhere. I would gladly spend up to $500 on one.

I think I might be able to get you one for $500 plus shipping. It's doable

Have you been to the Wheaton/Chicago Civil War Show?

Think its coming up April 29th at the dupage County Fairgrounds

I'd try local gun shows. I've seen several of these over the years at gun shows. Not every show will have one, but they do seem to show up at these events fairly often.
