cmt04444 Posted March 11, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2017 I am thinking of buying this, it has no scabbard, it's $300.
Terry K. Posted March 11, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 11, 2017 Sheble & Fish is a good maker but everyone looks for Ames. Looks like M-1860 Cav. sword, sabbard will cost $100-$150 too bad wire is loose. Just saw a bunch last weekend in better shape for $450=$550 each. Look for dates 1864 or before. beerdragon54 Posted March 11, 2017 Share #3 Posted March 11, 2017 Hold off for one with a scabbard, you won't regret it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
KurtA Posted March 11, 2017 Share #4 Posted March 11, 2017 Unless a sword is rare or cheap (this one is neither), I never buy if no scabbard. Agree with the above - hold off and buy a better example with scabbard. There is no reason to buy this one.
cmt04444 Posted March 11, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted March 11, 2017 I wish I could find an affordable nicer one, they all seem to go well over 600 on eBay and I don't see them elsewhere. I would gladly spend up to $500 on one.
beerdragon54 Posted March 11, 2017 Share #6 Posted March 11, 2017 I think I might be able to get you one for $500 plus shipping. It's doable Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lee Ragan Posted March 12, 2017 Share #10 Posted March 12, 2017 I'd try local gun shows. I've seen several of these over the years at gun shows. Not every show will have one, but they do seem to show up at these events fairly often.
