Owen Posted March 9, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 9, 2017 Tried this in the WTB section without any replies. So I'll try it here......... I am looking to buy a nice GI walnut stock for an M-14 to fit my M-1A Looking for one without a lot of nicks or gouges, with a "P" for proof and a nice visible cartouche. Also need a GI handguard. gomorgan Posted March 9, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 9, 2017 Find yourself a copy of "Shotgun News" there's a guy named Fred if I remember correctly who sells these in all grades, he advertised every issue. The publication may have changed name here recently but you shouldn't have any trouble finding a current copy..
Owen Posted March 10, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted March 10, 2017 Thanks for the note. If you refer to <treeline.com>, I have been trying to reach them for the better part of a month. Only v/m, no return call, no answered emails. Their shopping cart remains active, but I'm reluctant to PP a couple of hundred dollars to someone who won't communicate with me. sactroop Posted March 10, 2017 Share #4 Posted March 10, 2017 In the past I've had good experience with Treeline. I know several people who have been dealing with Fred's for decades, and now that Treeline is taking over the M14 stock business the feedback I'm reading has been on the positive side. I understand the frustration with lack of communications. It might be worth doing at least a little lurking over at some of the forums and blogs that cover the M14 platform to see if you can learn anything useful.
