NathanHale Posted March 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 8, 2017 I am looking for Springfield M1903 information from someone involved in researching SA M1903 rifles. I have an M1903 that has been upgraded back in 1922 (Star Gauge Barrel #5758 marked, SA , Flaming Bomb and the date "3-22" behind the front site) W3L Polished Bolt and rails and a Fine checkered Butt plate.......But the receiver SN# is 780368 and it has an early , single cross bolt, stock with the number "95" stamped behind the Trigger guard and the letter "E" behind the on/off switch. I have the Brophy book but need more info if anyone is willing to strike up a conversation and can help. MJ
Charlie Flick Posted March 9, 2017 Share #2 Posted March 9, 2017 Hi Nathan: For that kind of specialized information you might want to try the guys over on the Springfield Rifle subforum on the CSP site: http://www.jouster.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?9-M1903-1903A3-A4-Springfield There are a lot of very knowledgeable Springfield nuts over there who might be able to help with your questions. HTH. Regards, Charlie
