McDermut99 Posted March 3, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2017 Thought I would share these here since I haven't found terribly many others on the internet. These came from the estate of a Marine who served during the late 1950's. The pillow shams are in really great shape aside from the fold creases caused by years of storage. First up, sweetheart sham with a yellow border:

McDermut99 Posted March 3, 2017 Author Share #3 Posted March 3, 2017 Next up, mother's sham with pink trim (I actually have two of this type).

McDermut99 Posted March 3, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted March 3, 2017 Third, grandmother's sham from Camp Pendleton. The back of this sham is a very vibrant dark green that the camera failed to capture unfortunately.

McDermut99 Posted March 3, 2017 Author Share #8 Posted March 3, 2017 Onto the table linens. This first one I suspect is a home made piece, due to the fact that I could find no evidence of a tag or markings anywhere on the back, as well as the overall quality of the piece. Not something one would find with a mass-produced piece. It's about 16" wide and 13" tall. When I first picked it up it was under a lamp on a dresser, so that gives you an idea of it's intended use. McDermut99 Posted March 3, 2017 Author Share #10 Posted March 3, 2017 Small table cover with the design printed on. Measures about 27" by 27".
McDermut99 Posted March 3, 2017 Author Share #11 Posted March 3, 2017 Final piece. Very similar to the previous cover in regards to size and fabric, except this one has the design machine embroidered on it. No tags or markings found on this one (or the previous one). northcoastaero Posted March 3, 2017 Share #12 Posted March 3, 2017 Nice items. If the tail code on the straight wing F9F Panther is WE, the squadron would be VMF-214 Black Sheep. All I can see is the E. Just a note.
