Siamundo Posted March 3, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2017 Just curious if anyone might recognize this patch as being a military patch or not. It appears to be to older Japanese made patch about the same size as squadron patches from the 1960's. If you look closely at the bottom edge it appears there was a tab or scroll there at one time that has been cut off. Obviously the patch is connected to the state of Minnesota based on the yellow map image. For that reason I was thinking this might be a variation of Navy Squadron VP-814. but it is not at all like the design I am familiar with. Then tried attack squadrons associated with NAS Minneapolis and NAS Twin Cities. This led me to the Skyhawk Association website with the proper identification. Good idea to include the State of Minnesota on the patch. The eagle kind of reminded me of the VP-1 Screaming Eagles patch. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
