US Army Signal Corps Mascot 'HALF WATT' Ever Hear Of Him ?

I didn't find much on this group of decals. These are transfer decals and not stickers. The large ones are 5" x 6" and the little Half Watt is 3 1/2" x 4 1/2". They were made by POTTER MFG CO in Eugene, Ore. I don't know the age. Perhaps 1950s - early 1960s. Anybody know the history of Half Watt? Is he still around?

Thanks

Thanks 72psb,

I had a DUH moment and didn't take into account the stylized M16. I'd like to find the history and origin of 'Half Watt'.

That's PFC rank, which is correct to current day. Specialist is also a modern rank, but only at the E-4 grade.

And as it's caricatured, no telling if that M-16 is an A1 or A2. The A2 didn't get adopted until 1986, so I don't think you can assume that makes it Vietnam-era either. What likely does though is the price (.30).

I was Commo when I was in ('86-'89), did my AIT at Ft. Gordon (Army Signal Center), and never saw or heard of this "Half Watt" character.

VN era.M-16 and spc rank.
