HERE IS A GROUPING ATTRIBUTED TO LEON JULIUS MILES. HE WAS A WW2 SOLDIER WHO SERVED OVERSEAS. MOST OF THE ITEMS IN THIS GROUPING ARE FROM THE TIMES HE WAS A LOCAL FREEMASON. I HAVE NOT SEEN MANY POSTS WHICH HAVE SOME FREEMASON ITEMS. NOT ALL OF THEM ARE PICTURED BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT ACQUIRED AT AUCTION. I ALSO WAS ABLE TO GET HIS ARMY DISCHARGE AND HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA FROM 1940. THIS WAS AN INTERESTING LOT BECAUSE OF WHAT IT REPRESENTED.

Neat littler group. The African-American connection is interesting, does his discharge papers say what unit he was with?

Yes - Co. A 43 S. con Bn. He was a field lineman T-5. His civilian occupation was as a barber. There was a local newspaper article done later on him and his business. The story was in a scrapbookI was unable to get.
