chris3bs Posted March 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted March 1, 2017 HERE IS A GROUPING ATTRIBUTED TO LEON JULIUS MILES. HE WAS A WW2 SOLDIER WHO SERVED OVERSEAS. MOST OF THE ITEMS IN THIS GROUPING ARE FROM THE TIMES HE WAS A LOCAL FREEMASON. I HAVE NOT SEEN MANY POSTS WHICH HAVE SOME FREEMASON ITEMS. NOT ALL OF THEM ARE PICTURED BECAUSE OF THE AMOUNT ACQUIRED AT AUCTION. I ALSO WAS ABLE TO GET HIS ARMY DISCHARGE AND HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA FROM 1940. THIS WAS AN INTERESTING LOT BECAUSE OF WHAT IT REPRESENTED.

chris3bs Posted March 1, 2017 Author Share #5 Posted March 1, 2017 Neat littler group. The African-American connection is interesting, does his discharge papers say what unit he was with? Yes - Co. A 43 S. con Bn. He was a field lineman T-5. His civilian occupation was as a barber. There was a local newspaper article done later on him and his business. The story was in a scrapbookI was unable to get.
