LT CPD Posted February 25, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 25, 2017 I found this picture in a stack of pictures at an antique store. I thought I'd be able to figure out who he is, because of the writing on the back, but it has apparently been trimmed and some letters are missing. I've searched on Ancestry and can't find anything. The patch is First Air Force. Not quite able to tell what the wings may be. Back is labeled "2nd Lt. Louis V. Coll". I can't tell if the last letter is "i" or "e", and either way, it appears there was more after that. Dated May 23, 1943. Still happy with the find, but would love to be able to figure out exactly who he is. Any help would be appreciated.
