Burning Hazard

Fixed bail with heat stamp 28C 3 is July 1941 production.

Front seam swivel bail with heat stamp 28A could be one of three things:

1) An early McCord fixed bail converted to swivel bail

2) A McCord swivel bail that's missing the full heat stamp, your could be 828A or 928A (McCord front seam swivel bails are 800-900 range)

3) A Schlueter swivel bail that's missing the first number, I think the Schlueter front seam swivel bails were in the 200-300 range, so 228A or 328A. Check if there is an "S" stamp near the heat number inside the visor.

upon closer inspection the heat stamp on the swivel bail is 283A no S anywhere that I can see. I think it may be a re issued in Korea due to Olive green straps not the Kaki colored straps here is a shot of the back
