Brian Keith Posted February 25, 2017 Share #12 Posted February 25, 2017 I purchased Mr. Klie's book at his booth late on Thursday. It was on my list to pick up at the SOS. There were several people inside the booth, but all seemed to ignore me with my wallet in my hand for several minuets, they weren't busy with customers. They said Mr. Klie wasn't there at the time to sign my copy. Looks like a great book. BKW
EGA-DOG Posted February 25, 2017 Author Share #13 Posted February 25, 2017 Brian. Tim only has one table, and the others in his table group are not associated with him. I'm sorry Tim wasn't at his table when you came by. I can assure you that he would have loved to sign your copy of his book. If you're going to be at the show tomorrow, swing by. usmcaviator Posted February 25, 2017 Share #14 Posted February 25, 2017 Some nice ones, aome nice trenched ones, but nothing particularly rare or exciting. No jeweler mades, BB&B, Gaunt? Most of those types are traded at set-up or go early. I saw some nice pieces at this show and was quite impressed. I also saw two China Marine diamonds sell. Leatherneck72 Posted February 26, 2017 Share #15 Posted February 26, 2017 Concur…all the "rare and exciting" go quick if the right people see them. Both displays shown were well executed and were a class act.
Spearhead Posted March 9, 2017 Share #16 Posted March 9, 2017 Not in the rare and exciting catagory, but here are a couple of EGAs from the SoS that I was happy to pick up.

usmcaviator Posted March 9, 2017 Share #18 Posted March 9, 2017 Not in the rare and exciting catagory, but here are a couple of EGAs from the SoS that I was happy to pick up. All nice acquisitions that are not found very often. As I told you at the show, the top two are pretty hard to find, and their origin is still speculative. That is the first I have seen of the service variety. I pulled my dress version out of Japan, so I am leaning towards late 1940's to 1950's Asian made, but that is just my theory. The bottom right is a scarce WW1 era pattern that is not found very much either! Mike
Brig Posted March 16, 2017 Share #19 Posted March 16, 2017 The top two I believe to be 1950s Korean made...they very closely resemble collar emblems that I have seen that share attachment traits I've seen on known korean made Army insignias of the era. I haven't seen a service cover, but have seen service collars, so very cool to finally confirm a service cover exists. As stated above, they are not easy to find
