WWI Cavalry Bridle Rosettes?

These two discs came in a box of insignia. Each one is 1 3/4" in diameter and appear to be made out of copper. One is a flat disc with the seal raised, and the other one is slightly domed with a raised seal as well. At some point each one looked to have had two or three pegs of their backs, but have broken off. They appear to be fairly old due to the green oxidation and the numerous small scratches on the front side especially.

From what I have gathered they are WWI era US cavalry bridle rosettes.

Any further commentary would be greatly appreciated.

Manchu Warrior

I have had this set for a long time and I have no idea what era they happen to be from. At least you can see what was once on the back of your set.
