At some point, either the vet or done post-war, the belt loop on the scabbard was folded back and a raw-hide tie was fitted to it. There are no traditional maker stamps on the blade. The cast brass guard has what appears to be two initials followed by a possible production # (17)? and then three more initials. The tiger maple grips are especially attractive.
