NOK tags of C-47 Crew Chief, D-Day veteran

Picked these up not too long ago. He served as a Crew Chief on board a C-47 with the 303rd TCS, 442nd TCG and participated in the Normandy landings, dropping elements of the 507th PIR.

 

He was in plane #16 in the formation according to the link below.

I am not sure if he participated in other operations with the squadron. If anyone could help that'd be great!

At the time of his enlistment, he was 58" tall and weighed 101 lbs. He was already married.

Funny that the street number was mistyped and just stamped over on one tag! Just noticed that!
