He served as a Crew Chief on board a C-47 with the 303rd TCS, 442nd TCG and participated in the Normandy landings, dropping elements of the 507th PIR. He was in plane #16 in the formation according to the link below. http://www.dday-overlord.com/eng/drop_serie_26.htm I am not sure if he participated in other operations with the squadron.
