Hello, I bought a new Army Navy banner last week and thought I would share. This one is interesting (at least to me) because of the size, the new banner is quit a bit larger than any of the other full sizer banners that I have had or have seen. This banner is not marked in any way that I can find and measures 106"x54". The two other banners that I own both measure 84"x44" and that seems to be the standard size in my experience. The decorative stitching on the wreath is not as ornate as it is on most other banners that I have seen.

I'm curious what the dimensions are of the E banners that others have in their collection. Is this larger banner more common than I think and I just haven't run across one yet? Any thoughts or comments are appreciated.

Sorry about my feet in the picture, getting high enough to get all of the banner in was a pain in the Butt.

Wes

That is a nice flag.

I think what it may be is that companies were issued one when they won the award, but they could also purchase additional ones (if awarded) from private companies to be flown or to replace damaged ones. These in some cases may not have completely to "regulation" specs.

Hard to tell in this pic but this privately made e-flag has black detail stitching to the wreath.

Thank you for that insight, I had never considered it being a private purchase flag. The wreath on the new one is quit flat and does not have the heavy decorative stitching you normaly see. I thought the zinc gromets were unusual also.
