Breast Plate, Bullets and Shrapnel, dug around Vicksburg.

While visiting with my uncle he told me he had a coffee can full of stuff if I wanted it. He dug all of this in the Vicksburg area in the early 1980's. Can someone shed some light on the two bullets in the separate photo?

The one on the left is a fennel for a cap box. The one on the right looks like a Confederate ball that was removed from the musket with a worm tool....I am not an expert. But thats what it appears to be...The top piece is a bayonet scabbard tip.

top is a ball in pulled from the musket

Cartridge box Brest plate

cap box fennel

Is the fennel on the left brass or lead, most of time lead ones are confederate and brass is union I dug about 20 of the lead ones in confederate lines at Bentonville NC over the last 20 years
