Hi,

I just want to ask for your opinion on this M1917 Trench Knife scabbard - the leather part is stamped LF&C and there is only one marking on the top of the scabbard. Is this a good one or a repro ? Thank you in advance for your help.

Looks too fresh to me to be 100 years old. These scabbards were typically marked Jewell 1918. My vote is repro.

I'm far from an expert but I agree with Tim.

Repro, as Tim said, "Jewell 1918" were on original scabbards. Decent looking though. Suspect it was made by "Windless" what ever the name is, in India. Atlanta cutlery offers an M1917 w/ this scabbard. SKIP

I've had that problem too Skip. It usually fixes itself. Maybe turn the computer off for a few minutes then re start it.

Sorry but I'm not very technical.

Thanks Ronnie! John762 helped me fix it. I just had to click that top left box in the above gray area. That's all it took. I honestly do not know what any of those icons even mean, or symbolize. Thanks Again John762! SKIP
