Kurt Barickman Posted February 8, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 8, 2017 Very nice Robert, I never knew about such a thing. Thanks for giving enlightenment. Kurt
KurtA Posted February 8, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 8, 2017 Very nice. I've seen that style insignia as a shoulder loop attachment, but never as a pin for the pocket area. (Nothing like having a photo to prove how/where it was worn!)
stealthytyler Posted February 8, 2017 Share #4 Posted February 8, 2017 Thanks for sharing. Would love to own a war correspondent grouping some day. They do not receive the credit they deserve.
Patchcollector Posted February 8, 2017 Share #5 Posted February 8, 2017 Sweet group.I've seen that pinback badge but the one I saw looked different in the way it was made.Yours appears to be theatre made and is a great piece.

willysmb44 Posted February 14, 2017 Share #8 Posted February 14, 2017 Great grouping! It proves what I've been arguing for a while now; that the British-made correspondent pinbacks were indeed worn in the PTO!

willysmb44 Posted February 14, 2017 Share #10 Posted February 14, 2017 It could be Australian.Yeah, maybe. But I've heard people arguing that no Commonwealth insignia was used by US correspondents in the PTO as few photos support they're use, even though I have at least one photo of such pinbacks being worn. I got tired of the argument as I know they were worn there. With correspondent stuff, it was a case of using anything you could due to how tough it was to find the stuff in a war zone.
