Dave Posted February 1, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2017 I came across these in a box...they were designed by our aviation detachment (we had two helos on an FFG) during our deployment to the Arabian Gulf in 2000. Our mission was to stop illegal oil smuggling, thus the "Pirate Patrol" patch. I believe they had these made up in Japan (our homeport). I think they had 30 or so of each type made up, so there aren't many of these around if you see them (the terrorist one was probably a stock design item, but I know the Pirate Patrol one was something specific to our ship).
